How to measure your backflow preventer and choose the right size cover.
To get our first number, width, we measure to the outside edges of the existing insulation or the pipe. Whichever of the two our bag will be expected to cover. In the above case, approximately 24 inches.
To get our second number, height, we measure from the ground to the highest point on our backflow preventer. In the above case, approximately 21 inches.
For this example I would recommend our 29”Wx24”H Standard Insulation Bag.
How to determine whether you need an Austin Pool Bag or a Side Opening Pool Bag

If your setup looks something like the above photos, you need the Austin Pool Bag. The white arrows point at supports coming from the wall. Our Austin Pool Bag is customized to account for these supports.
If the bag slides on from the right side of the assembly to the left (both examples above), you will need the Left Hand Opening Austin Pool Bag. For the Right Hand Opening Austin Pool Bag, the pipe that goes below ground will be on the left side of the backflow preventer.
The following images are of an example of a backflow preventer that needs our Side Opening Pool Bag.
The picture from above shows the lack of any kind of support coming from the wall.
